Cutting out
Hi just wondering if any one has had any problems with there cosworth cutting out as my old man has got a 4x4 sapphire cosworth and it started to cut out a few months ago but it only did it every now and then but now we can not go more than one mile with it cutting out but when it cuts out now all the dash broad lights start to flicker and all the injectors are clicking so does the amal valve, but today i have got the car out the garage to have a look and the problem has got a bit worse the car had a flat battery for a start when i jumped it it run fine but there was no rev countor or dash broad lights and the temp gauge did not work as well,
Thanks for looking just hoping some of you i had a problem like this before
once again thanks for looking and any help on this

I would start at the really basic stuff, like battery connections, charge rate, clean all connections that you can see, and esp check the ignition switch contacts, by gently opening the switch, sometimes these burn, and cause all sorts of problems, not normally a sierra problem though, wouldn't hurt to clean up any earths that you can find either.

Like Tabetha said, check electrical.
The fact that it's intermittent shows it's likely a poor connection.
My cossie died completely on me one day, and it was the factory fitted fusible links in the wiring loom just off the battery that melted down. Luckily was close to home and managed to fix it.
