better way to put it would have been "will my mondeo td motor fit in my sierra"

i think the block is different for the engine mounts so won't fit but not 100%

Ford normally have a good commonality fitting wise on engines gearboxes, so mix and match may be on the cards.
I would ask a gearbox place, bound to know for certain, I'm not even certain what engine a 2000 mondy has diesel wise!!

If the bell housing patern is the same then i can't see why not, the engine and gearbox is the easy part it's the management that will be the hard part and being a 2000 Mondeo it will be TDCI I suspect.

If it's a TDDci, or whatever they call that version, it would be a monumental amount of work to get working right, another car would be cheaper!!

If I have correctly understand you want to fit an Mondeo 1.8 td i a sierra td
You can fit it but you must change all accessories, sump, pick-up pipe, oil pump, water pump...
Just keep the cylinder block and the head
I have already do that
