re-fitting gearbox to 3dr cossie
Anyone know if i can get away with leaving the front anti-roll bar bolted up to the floor of the car when i get round to re-fitting the gearbox? The manual says to drop it down to give clearance for the box but i would prefer to leave it if possible as the threads in the bolt holes arent too good and i dont want to end up having to helicoil them if the bolts wont go back in properly.

Sorry i should have said the engine isnt in the car at the moment. I just want to re-fit the box by itself for now, so if it can come out with the engine and avoid dropping the anti-roll bar then i assume i should be able to re-fit just the box by feeding it in from the engine bay and over the top of the roll bar? I wanted to do it from the other way really i.e feeding the front of the box over the top of the roll bar and in towards the engine bay simply because i wanted to try and get it done on my own, doing it that way would have meant just wheeling it in on a trolley jack rather than waiting for a mate to come round and help out lifting it over the roll bar from the front
