Prop shaft donut
I have a prop shaft donut on my Sierra Cos 4x4 that doesn't look good.. Does anybody know where to get a new one, or does anybody here have?
I've heard they are using the donut from Transit. Anybody tried that?

I was trying to buy the donut from Ford years ago. Had to buy the whole prop shafty too.. They told me they didn't just sell the donut.
A friend of mine is working at Ford in Norway, and he checked, and in Sweden they had one loose, but he didn't know what type of the two it was because there were no picture of it..

Im pretty sure Fords have stopped selling the Sierra doughnut - they might still sell the Escort version.

Is this a 4x4 item? None of my cosworth propshafts have them.
My XR4Ti stock propshaft had one but it's long gone since I switch the saff suspension/T5 etc.

All you need is the small front piece from a later style prop to use the smaller donut. I've done the conversion on my car and it works 100%

You mean the three "arms"? Change that one to a later style?

Yeh you will need a late saff or esc cos front end of the rear prop to use the esc cos box .it has a hole in the center which will slide over the output shaft .

As above, easy to tell the difference, the earlier one is almost like a hexagonal shape, and the newer one on late saphs and escos is round. I bought the later type from Ford about a year ago for £70.

Call that man
the early type of large doughnut did not come as a single part from Ford, you had to buy a complete prop shaft at around £300
I know I bought one

I've had an adapter made up to use the later EsCos donut with the earlier propshaft.
The CNC machine settings have been saved so I can get more if needed. Just got to fit it and check all is well.
