My prime on the L6 ecu was about 4 seconds from memory, defo nowhere near 20-30, but it's ecu controlled, wouldn't worry so long s it's working as it is purely just a timed pulse from ecu.

Plenty of cossie paranoia, I was like it to start with, just resigned myself now to if it goes wrong it goes wrong, but it only had a hiccup or two in 3 years, even managed to do 20 miles home after HG blew, stopping every 5 miles and refilling with water.

If air was getting in, or even if the outlet pipe was disconnected it would not alter the prime, the ecu does not know what pressure is in the fuel rail, it purely gives out a timed supply when it wants.
