Default .....Alloy pulleys any special kind?......

Hav just found out a workmate of mine has a pretty nice workshop @ home c/w laithes etc
Says he could turn me up some pulleys or I can have a go if I feel brave enuf!!!
Of course I jumped @ the chance
Now I just was wondering what type of alloy do I need to get hold of
Anything in particular

the thing with ally pullys is they tend to wear out on the teeth so use something strong

pulleys i`ll be doing are the ancillary ones bud power steering,pas pump,alternator and its a 3dr dont know if different to saphs

6061 T6
7075 T6

Most likely either of those as both have good tensile/fatigue strength.

The 7000 series are harder wearing, although 6082 is also good.
3 door V pulleys same as 2wd sapph.
