No brakes on 3dr cosworth
Evening all, can someone help me please.
For some reason the brakes on my 3dr have mysteriously stopped working!! Last time i was out in it they were just fine, took the clocks out tonight to change a broken bulb re-fitted them and now i have no brakes at all???
I'm getting no power to the ABS pump at all, have replaced all the relays with others still nothing, have checked the fuses next to the ABS ECU and they're fine, looked at the wiring going to the pump and it all looks ok, but cant get any power to the pump at all? This results in a rock hard pedal and no brakes??!!
I'm about to loose my temper with this car as its been one thing after another, i cant believe removing the clocks has effected the brakes!?!
Can anyone help PLEASE!!!!

Right bit of an update, took my circuit tester under the dash with ignition turned on and checked for power at all the relays and fuses, as i got to the 2 normal size fuses closest to the bulkhead, i touched the wires going into the green fuse and next thing i knew the pump kicked into life!!
Its too dark to investigate properly tonight, but a loose wire may be to blame here!!

One thing i have noticed though, i started off this whole episode tonight in an attempt to change what i thought was a blown bulb in my handbrake warning light as it doenst come on at all. anyhow the bulb is fine, checked the power to the wiring while the handbrake is up and ignition on and there's no power to the bulb from the connector that goes on the back of the clocks - anyone know what could cause this?
I've checked the connector on the handbrake itself and that seems all ok, where should i look next? How does it work?
Got an MOT Thursday and want to pass it!

I would do a continuity check between reservoir top and handbrake etc.
It may be a broken track on the circuit board on the rear of the clocks, mk1 were famous for this, just apply a live to the live side of the bulb and see if it lights, if it does then just a jumper wire over the break will cure it.
All the circuit is, is from handbrake to master cyl, return to light, this circuit is EARTH/NEGATIVE, the other side of the light has a live so when earthed it lights, the live is ignition controlled.
