Default Boost controller help

Hey

I recently bought a gizmo boost controller and am going to be running a gt30 turbo with a tial external gate. Now I know these things are relitivley easy to pipe up but I just wanted to clear something up.

With the boost controller you get a solenoid, and they supply a 3 way "Y" piece. Now in the book, the picture states that you have to incorporate the line into the "Turbo to engine" Hose, which in this case would be the turbo to intercooler main hose. Is it really necessary to do this as I can't see how you could tap into that. Can't I just go from the solenoid to the top of the wastegate, and then from the side of the wastegate back into the other side of the solenoid???

Any help would be much appreciated.

Here is the link to the manual, if you skip to page 16 you can see it. http://gizzmousa.com/file-copies/Gizzmo-MS-IBC.pdf

like this (GT30 btw)

three ports on the solenoid - one goes to the comp housing, one goes to the actuator, the other can go to the airbox but doesn't have to be connected to anything

Right had a look for you:-

Port 3 of your solenoid should be connected to the comp housing on the turbo

port 2 goes to the actuator (wastegate)

im not using a actuator though mate this is for a gt30 external gate and my gt30 has no take off on the compressor housing.....? maybe ill have to get a tap in fitting or something to get onto the pipe. If you look at that manual you will see what i mean.
