Default Self reclining recaros.......

As the title, my passenger seat is self reclining with the vibration from driving

How do I tighten up the mechanism so that it no longer has this useless trait?

Yeah they all do this I think. People always ask why the passenger seat is wound right back...

It's a bit annoying that after 25 miles the passenger seat is ready for use as a sex chair

Not really, but when the other half gets in and asks why the chair is like that then it could get nasty

LOL

It has now done 68 miles and sprung a front diff oil leak - for the sake of a 38p o-ring it is going to take 4 hours to change

if you feel brave anough to take the seat apart you can get the reclining mechanism pressed back together.....

Not a simple case of nipping up a bolt or 2 then?

If you can take the reclining handle off, put a rubber o ring around the seat adjuster's shaft before fitting wheel back on, the added friction this gives is normally enough to stop most movement.

We are talking about Sapphire seats here - but I guess the principle with the O-ring on the wheel is the same

Hi guys, Ford did a recall on the earlier seats to fit a 'resistance ring' of felt to the recaros. I have some of the confidential paperwork here somewhere and it wasn't a public recall - only done when cars were in for other reasons.

Tabs idea would pretty much match Ford's solution I reckon
