Air fuel ratio gauge
Hi guys, am planning to install an afr gauge into my car. I have an auto meter one here which looks good and wil do the job. My car already runs a closed loop lambda and I was wondering would it be ok to cut into the signal wire from that. Or is it best to leave that alone as it runs back to the ecu?? If that wud be ok, any one know which colour wire the signal is on the standard sensor, there is black red and white.
If i dont do that then the only other option is to drill and weld another boss into the downpipe and install a new lambda in there.
Any advise wud be good

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Original lambda cannot be used for an Air Fuel ratio meter. This is a narrowband sensor and you need a wideband sensor. So, drill a second hole and put the wideband sensor there.

is it a narrow band or a wide band kit you have pal? imo the narrow band ones arnt worth having, as they do not have enough scope,
ie the narrowband will show max rich, but the mixture could easily still be weak enough to melt the engine!
widebands, although more expensive, wil read from around 8:1, to around 20:1 so have plenty of scope for a turbocharged car.
