Thing is that the engine came out of a 4wd saph but has a 205 block. Need to know as it has a set of BD14 cams in it and i need to get standard ones but need to know if i got to get 2wd or 4wd cams.

2wd has 2 mounting lugs on the exhaust side for turbo hanger

4wd has none but has a oil feed in the centre of head exhaust side

Apart from the lug the water channels are different, the 4wd consisting of a series of holes, whereas the 2wd has long slits, other differences as said, if in doubt just get 4wd cams, as these fit the 2wd head with the addition of a spacer, so I would imagine no one would make a 2wd cam now just the 4wd type and offer spacers to suit 2wd be a lot cheaper tooling wise.

late 2wd heads did not have the slits for the exhaust waterways, that was just the early (3dr) 2WD heads,

oil feed for turbo on the exhaust side for a 4x4 and the turbo hangar on a 2wd plus the water temp senders are located in different places.

Some sapphs had 3 door engines, so that's why some sapphs have these slits.
