Default How to identify a 2wd head or a 4wd head

4x4 head wont have the flat platform on the turbo side that the turbo stabaliser bracket bolts onto

Very early 2wd heads only have 2 bolt holes for the stat housing on the front

Tiff now look at the stat housing on the 2wd head above........ 3 bolt fixing they just use 2 of them on the 2wd's

Now Steve, look at what i typed and you will see i put "VERY EARLY 2WD heads"

easiest way to tell them apart is 4 wd head has oil feed for turbo on turbo side of head
