There was a few in D reg's which were development cars but think there is only 3 or 4 of these, might be wrong.

Some were sold before 1987 but most of them were sold after, so its very possible that it is gen.

FYI

14 Rs500's left Tickford pre aug 1987 iE pre E plate , 3 went overseas two later returning to the uk .
4 development cars were white and registered on the 1/3/1987
the remaining uk cars were registered in june-july 1987 , so on D plate ..

interestingly enough , the 2 cars that returned to the uk witch left Tickford pre aug
one was a AMT Training car , the other was a parts validation service car , were both brought back and registered on E plates .

hope this helps .

Yup, Liam and I got that one as you know - was imported back in 89 and got an E Plate, even though she left Tickford well before the August dated plate change - as that is when they went from D to E chaps.

Mr doghouse sir, nice to see you pal

isn't there a j/K reg one around?
I saw it at a show once and it had a bit write up in the window saying it was the last ever registered RS500?
Eitherway it was definatly a 3 door and it had a j/k reg plate on.

Still, a K reg 3 door is rare aint it? or was it a reshell?

Its what you want really - had a lodda work in it and if you wanted the nearest thing to a new 500 it might have suited you?

Each to his or her own I reckon
