my car came with a alum flywheel weight about 5 kg... the lose of inertial is a pain to drive daily. you realy have to rev alot to get the cltuch to bit or else it will die off.. esp on up hill it worst...so would a 4.44 with better torque multiplication works better? iam using 18 x 235 x 40 tyre. with the 3.65 cwp, the pick up is very bad. the choice for 4.44 will aid accel . base on calulation on 18 x 235 x 40 tyre. top speed should be around 140 plus mil/ hr.. which isn't that bad right?
i use to owe a 2004 wrx with 4.44 cwp.. its pretty quick trafic to traffic... but top speed is limited though....

I see your thinking and yes it will help as you say, in your circumstances.
It really should have a big influence on acceleration, and 140 is quick enough anyway for most duties, I don't think I've ever been over 70 as this is out speed limit on m'ways.
