Default sapphire cosworth headlights

going to be ordering new headlights tomorrow are they the same as a normal sapphire?
any one know approx price?can get them for £48each is that not bad?thats just sapphire ones,thanks

the parts where the grill attaches to , you can cut them down and make them fit but its hard to get all the front end nice and straight

plus standard ones dont have the headlight wipers and washers on do they?

iirc the holes are on the standard light's. the 2000E had wiper's but no cossie grill. i cut the light's on the 2000E i had. everything lined up pretty good.

i paid 300 euros for a new set of cossie ones a guy had got from a ford garage stockroom clearance

ok,so normal ones would need a trim to fit grill,is that all?are they as good/bad as cossie ones?im not putting wipers etc back on any way,wiring to thems knackered

yup. it'll be a piece off piss to do mate. just look at the headlight's that you're taking out and you'll see what need's trimming. should be a 5 min job..

there just the same apart from the bigger tab for the grill.

my mate has a [as new] set of head lights for a saff with wipers ,motors etc..think he wants to sell them they were bought new few months ago .......but he put twin lights in...........

All the lights have the wiper attachement underside, as said the cossie ones have a tab instead of a great big flange, but easily modded, mine line up better with a 10mm nut between the grille tab and the headlight tabs where they screw to each other, but perfect then.

yes im sure they can be,unfortunatly lens and unit were knackered,have got a pair of lucas,only needed one but it keeps them both the same

could you take the glass and reflector out of the new lights and use the plastic from the cossie light to keep the tab for fixing the grill

thats a good idea james,but it was a deer attack and big black plastic bit was in quite a few bits to,non salvagable unfortunatly,lol
