Default 3 dr with 4x4 roll bar problem

Has anyone done this , im restoring my 3 dr and have put a 4x4 roll bar in place and wondered if i have to make something to mount the anti roll bar bushes and brackets as the area is flat and on a 4x4 and 2wd cossie the brackets are fitted to a part of the chassis that is lower than the chassis rail .

Check my thread out on the link below for pics if you dont understand what i mean .

Thanks for any advice .

Trav .

Think the easiest way to get round it is to use a Sapphire 2wd beam as it has the mounts to fit the 4x4 ARB?

I am sure this rail that the 2wd and 4wd sapphy have the rear arb attached to is on the 3 door, so just knock up some brackets and weld on, pretty sure that's how I did my
xr4i one, then made a little bracket plus pin for the arms.

Ive fitted the 4x4 rear arms and roll bar on the car , the 2wd arms where rotten stu so i slung them . The chassis rail is flat and ive been looking at pictures of peoples saffy ones which have a lower part on them where the roll bar fixes to so it looks like i will have to knock something up to the chassis rail to bring the roll bar down by about an inch .
Just wondered if anyone had already done it and what they did to resolve the problem . Thanks for the replies so far .

Having jogged my memory a bit, I think but not 100% as it was years ago, but may have used some box to extend it down, I am pretty sure I did saying that, as I remember welding two captive nuts on the inside of the box bits before I welded it to the car, I cut of the "tang" part of the clamp and welded a little bit on to take a bolt like the other side so that it just bolted through the into the captive nuts in the box section, I have some old 1 1/2" square box so most likely used that.

Yep pretty much what I did, not pretty but you don't see it anyway, massive difference over the 3 door cossie arb though, when it has a sapphy one.
