Hi all. My submarine is alongside in crete at the moment and whilst i was driving around as duty driver i came across a saph/possible cossie. i have taken some photos but cant get them on the net at the mo due to this computer in my hotel be a bit old lol.

what i can tell you though which i found strange is that the bumper strips on it where red.

the colour is what i think ford diamond white, has the face lift dash and the ford badges are red. as soon as i get back to the uk i will upload the photos to see if you guys think it is also a cossie or just a standard saph. if it is What a find.

 

I live in Crete (Iraklio) and I can say that there are a few cossies here!
Post those pics maybe I have seen it before...

 

I worked a summer in Kos and there were a good few RS and XR Fords dotted on that little island also

 

Will get pictures on here by the 2nd may once i am on my computer in england. Still hunting for other cossies lol.

I never had seen that before but I don't think that it is genuine cosworth.

 

There are a lot of Ford Sierras in Greece. They don't rust the way they do in the UK. And typically they are customised in all sorts of ways including looking like Cossies.

Yes here in Greece is so hard to find a sierra with rust and if you find it will be down to very poor meintance or accident which wasn't repaired. That's because we don't use salt on the streets during winter I think. And yes there are a lot sierras "monkeys" cosworth but with a close look you can definetely say if it is cosworth or not but the pictures here aren't helping.

Back for many years when being on holiday on Crete I spotted a moonstone blue 4x4. I think it was in Chersonissos, but could also be in Agios Nikolaos.
Was amazed to see a Cosworth on a litte island like that, but it was looking very good! Was more than 10 year ago though..

I do have somewhere a picture of it in an old photobook.

 

Ten years ago they were very rare but now there are plenty.I still remember the first sapphire cosworth 400bhp I have seen owned by a car mechanic friend of my father. I think I was about 12years and the engine performance amazed me! By the way Crete isn't small island,it is the biggest island in Greece with a population more than 650000 people.
