Very slight hesitation on throttle

Default Very slight hesitation on throttle

When driving along steady if i touch the throttle slightly it feels like its holding back,nothing realy bad,its fine if i put foot down,any ideas?

Hi ,

got the same problem on mine , hope you get a good answer can I fix mine also.

Is there not an adjuster on this cable to take play away on the throttle housing ?

i had similar on fourby renewed cts and lambda sensor and seemed ok again

i presume the fault you mean is when you are cruising with slight throttle you open the throttle abit more and there is a moments hesitation then it is all good?

If so i believe this is a inherent fault with the L6 ecu as they dont have a facility to recognize the above situation(trans something fueling,can not remember the exact name!)so the L6 ecu does not fire up the injectors to make sure there is enough fuel to stop this flat spot!L8 and P8's have the above function so u do not get this fault!

Sounds about right,looks like i will be living with it for a while

What you are reffering to is transition fuelling, but this isn't the problem.
I would check for dead spots on the TPS, firstly, usually on very light throttle as that is where the carbon track wears the most.
Just(very) slowly open throttle whilst looking at digi metre.
There is no inherrant reason a L6 should not do this perfectly.

have you always had the problem? what chip do you run? is it a decent chip?

i've seen this before when the map on the chip isnt really suited to the spec

funny this should come up as mines l6 and never had this problem but went to fill up earlier and had exactly the same problem

Its a ahmed bajjo chip, recently got her checked over at msd it got the all clear,cant say irealy noticed it before,also sometimes the revs dont drop very quickly between gears, then other times its fine

had this prob in my 4x4 but when i changed the chip when i put the stg 3 stuff on it sorted the prob. very annoying though,is it a pts chip in your car by any chance?
