Default New Engine....

I managed to get myself a new engine for my resto of my saff.
Anyway i started to strip it and was wondering something.
It's a 200 block and had wire rings done on it.
The pistions are unmarked so would these be std bore, My old 205 block had .5 marked on the crown but these have notting.
The wire rings do these need to be replaced in a rebuild.

typically if the pistons are not marked .25 or .5 then they are standard

wire wrong blocks are a bit old school and most tuners dont tend to use them anymore, you cannot just use any gasket with wirea either, i think you will have to use a metal gasket as opposed to material

sorry but i cant remember the name of the gasket you will have to use

as you've got the engine apart; i'd be tempted to long stud the block - fit and forget in terms of gaskets normally and allows you to run more boost typically
