Default lost some boost pressure!

hi,last night noticed only getting about 18 psi of boost,was at 27 psi,at weekend put new loom on fuel pump and an uprated fuel pump on but i earthed pump behind rear lights got 13.7v at pump,sure it was ok on sunday or i would of noticed im sure,possible bad earth?amal valve?any ideas?was dark and snowing when got home last night so will get a look tonight,thanks again col93saphcos

amal valve, boost leak, actuator.. if it was the pump i dont think it would effect the boost.. it would make it run lean.

had quick look and amal valve not clicking,tested with another valve and still not clicking,what could cause amal valve not to work?would bad earth on fuel pump do this?thats all ive been in amongst unless upset something,but was fine after pump was fitted,thanks col93saphcos

ok!couldnt have been ok after pump fitted!lol,the new loom seems to have done away with the feed for amal valve,whats the best thing to do,new loom all braided up how would i join into it,or best rewire valve to save using main pump feed again?any help much appreciated thanks col93saphcos

I dont see how you have lost that?how did you rewire ya fuel pump?

rewired it with a loom from prometheuos??did away with the red wire and the red and black one,feed for amal seems to be of the red and black wire,have managed to jam it in to the feed to test it and did manage to get it clicking earlier,might have to run a new wire and connect it properly,il away for a blast and see,col93saphcos

boosting fine when red and black wire connected but just jammed temporarly,any ideas how to do a neat permenant fix?thanks col93saphcos

Hi most rewires still use the orig wires as switching for the relay, maybe try incl them back in some how mate.

I also have one of these wiring kits for my 1990 4x4 anyone else run into problems when fitting?
