Default Correct boost pressure question

this question has probably come up loads of times. but anyways.
i read that the correct psi pressure for a stage 1 4x4 saph cossie is around 14.5 psi. is that correct. cause my one is stage 1 with a hybrid t34 standard injectors and a 500 cooler, -31 actuator mongoose and a k&n. now the thing is my secs monitor and boost gauge read out 17.8 psi.
i am guessing this is not safe and that my injectors are screaming for mercy and making the car run quite lean. or is the boost i am runnig ok. if not i can wind it down as i have a boost bleed valve in-line with the actuator.

many thanks

i would say peak but then drops to i think it was 16.5 psi. maybe it is time for another set up. it was last done a year ago. but i have a slight water leak and want to find it and sort that out first before i give her a session on the rollers. might have a look though and see what chip is in it. cheers guys.

the way to check it is open road in 4th gear bout 50 mph floor the throttle and brake gentle just enough to load the engine and this will give you the pressure that it holds under load

The SAFE way to check it is a rolling road where a gas anylyser can tell you what the AFR is, as this is what counts.
