909 is basically ford motorsport mate ,
what hes saying is the 9 inch diff wasnt available on a production car ,
there was a 8.8 inch diff available in the mustangs if i rember correctly ,
other options a a 7.5 gripper diff , or another uprated standard unit ,
hope this helps ,

Thanks guys..
My car has a major tire wear problem. 1st, 2nd, 3rd gears till the end the tires skid and the car becomes uncontrollable. I have bilstein coilovers and hard srings, the car is very rigid. This week end I will take off the springs to see theri tention and maybe replace them with softer ones. Please advice any other methods to keep the car straight on the road..
Thanks

Your rear springs are too hard I think so softer springs at the back will help.
Also rear beam mounts should be very stiff, good diff mount, softer settings on your damping.

How did your car go at the first race of the year Charlie. Have your chassis mods over the winter paid off with the "feel" of the car?

Thanks Charlie,
I will check the springs first as you say. The rear beam mounts are metal to metal since the car has been driven as race track car first, later converted to GRP A rally car and now I used it after midnight race car on the highways..
