Lightbulb bd 12 inlet cam & bd 8 exhaust cam

i posted this last week but i have been told not to use a bd 10 inlet cam now (i have been told that a bd 12 inlet cam will give a nicer spread of power) - so here is my new question!

my cams need upgrading/replacing so i was thinking of going for a bd 12 inlet cam and standard exhaust cam (bd 8) for a good 400 - 420 bhp low lag.

my spec is t34.63, standard compression/engine, air filter, 55lbs siemens injectors, stainless exhaust, 044 fuel pump, rs500 intercooler, etc.

i should have a nice quick very fast road setup with very low lag.

would people agree?

opinions greatly valued!

thanks!!!

you wont see over 400 hp on a t34.63, 400 is about their limit,

if you dont have pockets in your pistons your gonna have problems running a bd14,
and depending how much is skimmed off the head, you could have probs with even just a bd12,
even heard of a bd10 clipping valves if the heads been skimmed to death

why not respond to the thread instead of giving advices ???

i have similar specs than you, with a t34 55, and i have bd14 + bd10 with pocketed pistons and ported head.

i am using the cam timing give with cams, and i like this engine

i have 1.8 bar at 3200 and engine take 7000 without any problem

i hadnt run this engine with standard cams, so i can t compare, but i like this racing touch given by cams
