Hey all, was just wondering about these,
i know what they do, and how they do it, but....
Do they make much difference?
Are they really needed?
And will i need one for stage 3?
wont need one for stage 3 mate i am assuming you are talking about a water swirl pot??? it is basically a safety add on that removes air from the water system to stop hot spots but is not nessarsary at that stage of tune
Yes mate, water swirl pot.
Thats great, just wondered as i have noticed them on alot of cars and wondered if they where necessary like a decent breather system, thanks very much!
Just to comment that the old rs500 registrar Martin used to swear by them and claimed he noticed when it was removed temp wise. He was running around 350bhp I think.
needforspeed is a good guy deal with him the other week and he will take an offer i'm sure on the turbo cooler it may be worth a pm as he may also have a swirl pot neil a with the swirl pot is not back till 9th of feb as he is away working so pm him if you want it and you can sort out payment then hope this helps fella
Cheers dude, just flicked through and looks like someone has bought it
Will keep an eye out, be nice and easy as i already fitted a 500 cooler!
Cant wait to get the bloody thing back, if it aint 330 bhp i am going to set fire to it.
2wd need them at stage 3 because the water system is shit but 4x4 have a revised thermostat housing and water system so they dont suffer as bad as 2wd hth
