Default 3dr fuel rail help

I'm removing my fuel rail to replace for a cleaner item but how the hell do you separate the plastic tube?

I know it won't come off the rail end without cutting it but how can it be separated at the other, their seems to be something just under the map sensor, does it pull/twist apart?? i tried to twist but nothing.

any advice

It's a little black round-ish joint, then the other side goes off under the car

I haven't looked at the one near the map sensor but the rail one simply disconnects with a fuel line/air con disconnector of the right size, no cutting involved.

tbh I dont think it does seperate. Why do you want to seperate that part though? It come's off at the fuel rail end by releasing the spring coupling.

I always thought that this was a return valve. The proper tool (you can get a universal one that fits) unclips it easy mate.

this looks like mine...

if its the one on top, i cut a plastic tube that fitted over the metal part and pushed it towards the plastic part. the round retaining spring inside gets pushed outwards and you can pull the tube off

I got a spare rail through the post and that had been cut from just under the metal end and by the looks of it they had tried to get the pipe off but not succeeded as it had loads of teeth marks all around it.

I know the retainer clip comes off but the pipe is on very tight and the only way it looks like coming off is cutting it and buying a new pipe but i thought that pipe must split somewhere??? due to the car being tucked in the corner of the garage i can't jack it up and look underneath plus the light is shite.

Will have another look todays

Just to end this topic i have sorted it and in a completely different way to what i thought needed doing.

All you need to do is cut the screw part off a jubilee clip and on the inside where the round spring is slide the clip in and that will stretch the clip and then you can pull the fitting off complete.
