Default Diff breather

Ford no longer do the stock item and mines snapped off - what have you guys done / anyone got a good idea other than maybe bodging what's left of the original?

I'm talking about the fitting at the top drivers side of the diff - where it hides in the crossmember

Could you not just use a bit of pipe. Like 10mm dia hose? Then feed it into the crossmember like standard?

Or has the fitting broken off?

You could tap the hole and fit an aeroquip type fitting. You would need to remove the rear cover really to do it.

Something like this I have done on the Westy.

Is the diff still able to breathe with this set up? Looks nice and I bet it does not make such a mess anymore...

have you got a cossie motor in the westy..?? Im looking to do this nxt yr, id be interested to read your build diary if you have one

Yep, breaths fine and also no mess as any oil/vapour breathed is caught in the tank and then drains back in.

Yes. Not got a build diary for it but anything you want to know about sticking a YB in a Westfield, just shout.

I can't see pics here but would love to see what the setup was like

My Quaife ATB in my 3dr is breathing and dripping oil.
