yb head numbers???
just got a yb head . just after knowing what the numbers on it mean /can tell me about it.

they do mean something, but i cant tell you what!
you're best of posting a few pics of it as i'll be able to tell you then what it is
edit: post a pic of where all the valves are showing, as you can tell by the waterways what head it is

as above; the later 2wd heads had a 3 bolt thermostat set up
to be honest that head dont look to be in the best of conditions mate; what's the deck height? looks quite bad around the waterways compared to the heads i've had

its very grubby at the min needs a good clean up . deck height from what i can remember its 139

if its 139 then you've done well; as they are only 139.2 from factory
i dont mean it looks dirty; i meant it looks quite pitted round the waterways; but its the valve seats area which is most important
get it checked for straight'ness make sure its not warped & get it checked for cracks with you cant see; also i'd recommend getting it lightly face to freshen the surface
if you're fitting a wrc gasket you'll need to get the block faced too

it is mainly just dirt and crap its been stored for a long while .its got a few battle scars but i bought it needing to be checked and a light skim.
im not 100% if im going to use it yet .i just cant turn down a good deal

the pen marks are highlighting a couple of marks and poss 1 or 2 tiny cracks.
it was sold as all being cracks just encase .
i will soon find out if it can be repaired when i send it off
