How long is a bit of string and how much is your budget? stage 3 is the way to go but more power is do-able, only problem with 4x4 is the drive train, if you are going 350 bhp and beyond you'll need to spend around 10k on the transmission alone,

Well, 3rd gear will blow up anyway just a matter of time. If you have enough torque, of course

Up to 450bhp I wouldn't spend few grands on the box, but just some work on the 2nd and 3rd gears (maybe semi-straight cut ?).

stage 3 is around £500 and can buy kit from woodford, e.g. green injectors , 3 bar map sensor ,stage 3 chip.

you will need rs500 intercooler and a higher spec turbo ( t34 ) aswell and if a standard head gasket that wont last long at that spec.
Then set up price aswell prob around £150-£200.

After this stage it gets more costly

power will be around 310bhp-330bhp with the intercooler and t34,but also depends on what boost set at,22-25psi.
Next stage is blue injectors and more boost around 28psi and proberbly different cams but should see 360bhp-380bhp .A decent head gasket will be needed and some tuners say to long stud the block at this stage.

These figures do vary but think 330bhp will be enough for the time being

Go with a tuner that you trust and go with there advice, different tuners have different opitions tho

Hi mercurygreyrsturbo

If you where talking about a standard virgin engine, without any mods, then i would start by making sure it was running upto standard spec/power. so many people get on the rollers and find out they are running under standard power figures, IE that episode of topgear with the old sports cars

After that the world is your oyster. You are best off finding a decent local garage that know about cossies and check out there stage 1 thru 5 packages. that will give you a good ear mark for what to go for and even if you dont get them to fit the kit then striking up a good relationship with them is good for nice piece if advice, use of there ramps and maybe a wee bit of discount.
