Default saff cossie 4x4 fuses

Hi people first of all is there a fuse that i can take out to stop my head light wipers from working. The wipers only go half way up the head lights then stop. Also i have noticed that the fuse for my fans (green 30amp) looked a bit melted. Is there any way to stop this or shall i just keep am eye on it n if it does it again just change it. I know that cossies suffer from poor fan wiring due to age.

I would forget about the ford wiring for the fan and do a rewire immediately, if not sooner, they were crap when new in this repsect and get worse with age, simple job to do under £5 diy.
There is a relay(timer) that operates the headlight wipers when the lights are on and the washer operated, pull this(don't know which one as car not here),or just unplug them.

Just a SPST, single pole single throw relay, ie very std type common one around £3 or so, few lengths of wire, fuseholder near to battery, terminals to suit, then just run a live to switch, then back from switch to relay to trip relay, then output from relay to fans, beef up the earth to the fans at same time.
If you want overide switch simply tap another switched live onto relay "trigger" position.

It is quite easy to do, just make sure you use a 25 amp blade fuse between battery live and relay, as close to battery as possible to protect it.

put your hand up behind the bumper and you will find the plugs for the wipers cliped to the underneath of the panel (the one that the lowest light fixture screw goes into)

just unplug the motors, easy

the water will still come out though so then what you need to do is unplug the washer pump from the bottle, just don't pull the motor out the top as they have a habit of doing that

there are 2, i think it's the one on the rad side of the bottle you need to remove though
