I bought the engine loose ages ago, so I don't know what vehicle it came out of ??

My friend said that it didn't look like a standard cossie turbo though ???

Looks possibly like a T34 from a Lancia.. well the compressor housing, anyway.

Garret T3/4 .60 cold side,.36 or.48 hotside (Gone right over my head) what does all this mean

Please excuse my obvious lack of knowledge. So is the Lancia turbo any good.

Haven't driven the car yet, so I don't know what it's like ??

look for the A/R numbers on the housings, if its a t34 of some discription
it should have .48 somewere on the compressor housing and .48 or .55 or .63
in or on the exhaust housing.........it deffently DOES NOT look like any
turbocharger ive seen off a standard YB engine.

if it is a t34 or t3/4 turbo it will be fine for up to a stage 3 application

hope this helps mate

Default Turbo..

I've had a few on my Vw corrado turbo and i've
never had any issues,1 thing i did do was to fit a 360 degree
thrust bearing that i bought off eBay for 30 sqids.
I would'nt use the mega small .36 Lancia delta exhaust housing
as it'll choke the engine but will have lightning response!.
Min. i'd use is either a .48 hot side or pref. a .63 jobbie but
you'll notice some more lag compared to the smaller .48.
