Default loss of power

I would appreciate on this one please. Driving to work this morning when i hit about 3000 revs (50 mph) the car started to splutter badly for a few seconds, this happened every time . Driving home this evening at 3000 revs the car actually stopped briefly every time (like you hit the brakes) ,any ideas on this please. this car is a nightmare, 4x4 saph if that helps.

i dont have a boost gauge but at about 3000 revs when i believe the turbo kicks in it starts to go then its as if you slam the brakes on and the car stops briefly and then drives on ,but it does this all the time

I had a similar problem to this and it turned out to be that while the car had been stood for the past 3 months the waste gate had rusted shut and was unable to open. good spray with wd40 and an adjustable spanned followed by some high temp lube has sorted it . With mine though it did it from 3000 revs and kept seaming to cut on and off right upto nearly top revs.
