i have a 4x4 sapphire cosworth on a g plate, it is in megenta in colour. it has been resprayed at some point in its life and the new colour code was not put back on the car. it is the ford megenta colour so can anyone give me the correct ford colour code so i can get some matching paint?ta

 

my car away getting a re spray at moment coz we couldn't get a good match when i had bonnet and wings done in nov and it was miles away from the original colour , iirc what the guy said there was 6 different shades af magenta . can get paint code from under bonnet on mine when i eventually get it back .

the code should be on the plate under the bonneton the drivers side.

Local Ford Dealer damaged my car a little while back and resprayed it with an excellent colour match. They also gave me a couple of cans of paint to retouch as part of their apology!!

The code on the spray can is 1 646 600 Magenta - Rot XSC 2159.

Just checked mate - its called Magenta '89 (XSC 2387C) in the official Ford manual
