Default refuelling issues ...

When I refuel my car (a 3 door) the pump nozzle's "auto shut off" always actuates at anything but the lowest of flow rate trigger settings (or it overflows out the filler neck) ... its very painful as I need to stand there with the trigger just squeezed to dribble fuel in

I assume its a fuel tank vent issue? ... anyone ever had a similar problem? How are the standard tanks vented ... can this be improved?

Just to confuse to issue the car has been Australian complianced and has a reduced size filler neck for the smaller unleaded nozzle but I dont think this has anything to do with tank venting.

Dont have a problem with the cossie but on some of my past cars ive had to turn the nozzle round and push it further down the filler neck to avoid your problem.

Hi Lincoln ... thanks mate, thought it might have been high flow pumps in Aus but I guess not . I have found one which is older (the silent high flow ones cause me heaps of grief) and fills the car better but I still dont think its right

cossie500 ... yeah I've turned and jiggled and twisted to no avail ... although I find I cant push the nozzle very far down the neck anyway
