Default Handbrake light stuck on after a job

Another silly one no doubt!! Just changed a rear caliper and has to loosen the handbrake cable to release it etc. Its now set pretty much right (4-5 clicks) but the dash warning light is stuck on - could this just be a dodgy switch or am I being stupid about something here??

And where is the darn switch located???

;-(

the switch sits in the actual handbrake just under the ratchet part, you will see the wire coming off it if you remove the handbrake cowl

On a cossie this light also indicates low fluid level AND/OR low brake pressure.

Thanks Tab - yeah topped up the fluid, how can I tell if I have low brake pressure apart from testing it though? Any ideas? Seemed fine when test driving last night.

I would deplete the pressure in the braking system by pressing about 15 times with engine off and key out, then when you re-insert the key you will hear it pressurising, it should slow down the sound just as the abs light and h/brake liught go out as the pump reaches pressure.
Sometimes they can get a bit sticky, just turn on off a few times can often help.
