Default Brake upgrade Sapphire 4x4

HI!

I´m looking for a brake upgrade on my Sierra 4x4.
4 pot calipers and discs with appr. 300-310mm.....
Are fiat coupe 20v turbo calipers with focus st170 discs a good
system?

Please give me some advice!

The calipers are ideal mate they are the same as Focus RS calipers.

Not sure on the discs though as being 4x4 makes disc offset a tricky problem and i'm not sure if the ST170 discs will fit

HI!

Are you sure that the Focus RS and the Fiat Coupe calipers are the
same? They look a little different and also the disc sizes are quite
different (20mm).

Has anyone fitted the above mentioned calipers and when with
which discs?

I'm not 100% mate but i am pretty sure they are the same. They are also the same calipers as fitted to the 406 V6 and an Alfa of some sort.

Thinking about it, the 406 V6 uses 305mm discs and the offset probably isn't too far off the 4x4's.

Here are some disc dimensions which maybe could be used with
Fiat Coupe/Peugeot 406/ Alfra Romeo GTA calipers:

(original discs Cosworth 4x4 --> 278x24 - height 36mm)

Focus st170: 300x24 - 44,7mm
Peugeot 406 V6: 305x28 - 28mm
Peugeot 206RC, 307 2.0 16V (177hp), 307 HDI 135: 302x26 - 34mm

I think with the 4 pot brembo calipers and Peugeot discs from the 206, 307 it should be no problem to make a proper home made braking kit.

Isn´t the offset the dimension between disc thickness and the
overall heigth of the disc?

Sierra 4x4: disc thickness 24mm, overall height 36mm --> 12mm offset
Peuget 206/307: disc thickness 26mm, overall height 34mm --> 8mm offset??

Or do you mean something else?

I mean the face of the disc to the face of the mounting point/hub face if that makes sense.

I'm not really sure how to put it.

The offset is the position of the disk in relation to the hub. So the distance from the face that mounts to the hub to the actual part the caliper clamps.
On 4x4's its not a great deal therefore the disk is almost flat, similar to the 406 V6, i'm not sure on the others.

I'm not really too good at explaining mate to be honest
