fuel rail welding???

Default fuel rail welding???

hi all.. how can i fit an ally screw on fitting for braided fuel lines onto the original fuel rail?? i had an old rail what i threw away that looked as if the screw on fitting had been welded or braised.. can this be a diy job for me if so what do i need or off to a garage...? cheers

it needs to be silver solderd m8 a few of the tuners on here do it but its not cheap

silver solder will crack, its too soft pal, you cannot weld an ally fitting to a steel rail.

the problem with the std rail is it has a small copper content that is used to seal the ends and the injector cups, this has to be removed before your STEEL fitting can be tigged on very nicely

Really, NOT what you want on a fuel rail, is a billet item recommended only then or does another cossie model have -6 fittings as std, ESCOS or ex rally car?
