Some people suggest upgrading or replacing the original live feed to the fuel pump is a good idea as you increase the boost and fueling. Probably not a bad idea as most 2wd are almost 20 years old. Hope this is some use.

IMO you should hold 22psi, then get it properly setup!

You can then get a peak of 28psi and hold 26

As said above, get the fueling checked by a decent tuner m8

Just put a new turbo and actuator on mine, not sure of my power yet but it used to peak 21psi held 19, made 262bhp atw on a.v.a`s rollers, now im 25/26 psi and holding it like a hard-on. with a bigger turbo and some more boost im hoping for 290 atw if it makes more i`ll be like a pig in shite

Sounds like a reasonable plan, bear in mind that being a T3 your turbo isn't going to last very long at silly boost figures. If you want to reliably up the boost from there, something like a T34 would be a worthwhile investment. It is the turbo that most people fit with a stg 3 conversion.

No problem @ all

I have the car for about 2jrs, and no problems.

He's live-mapped with this setup. And he's perfect

I think it depends how you drive the car! (good warming up, good cooling down, good service, and not full throttle all the time!)

One thing is for sure, the turbo has to work hard! So you'll have to get a rebuild in about 5jrs (depends how many miles/kilometers you make)

Apologies in advance if I sound like I am teaching you to suck eggs, but...

You should really get the car checked over by a pro, tinkering with boost setup on a cossie is a big no no, unless you can check fuelling, etc... properly.
Drive it gently and get it checked out if you don't want it to blow up on you

PS: Can't remember which, but some yokohama tyres are useless on cossies, might explain your constant wheelspin - or, the road were wet

it was 286bhp when it 1st went on the rollers,im surprised rob didnt notice the power drop.....whoever fitted the cambelt did it wrong...it was 1 tooth out....this rectified gave the car another 30bhp alone.I left the tuners with an extra 58bhp....well happy

Strange, we used to run 28psi peak, 25ish held with a T34 and greens. Have you checked your fuel pump ?
PS: That's on a standard pump too, now dropped boost to 22peak, 20 held following a head gasked leak, and haven't brought it back up since.

held mate.

the spike can really be as big as you want as you will almost always have the fuel to cover it.

only important fig is what it holds at high revs...

No, i have not checked the wiring to the pump.

The pump was new when i built up the car.

Hiya, the car holds 18psi upto 5000revs, drops to 26psi to 6000revs and then drops to 22psi very slowly for the limiter, and this way you can still get the perfect AFR out of the injectors

But usually you've changed gear before it drops past 26psi so you don't notice anyway
