whats the deal here?did you go from cone filter...to filterbox..and did not feel a difference...or what is the deal...
sorry for the off topic..but im going this direction myself.mostly because of the look.i want a more standard look..and i also want the carbon filter box..the group a one.so im gonna go that route anyways..but just wondered what this is all about

Hi mate, what size is the inlet on this? I'm after the RS 500 (T4) sized lid.

I loved my massive pipercross cone filter ..................... sounded like a vax-hoover on steroids sucking like buggery

Although when i bought the cossie it had the box with k & n panel filter fitted ............... sadly i just dont like the noise from a k & n at all just sounds shit

Sure Euan will comfirm.

AVA have done some testing and found the standard airbox was better and made more power than the cone filter

I find cone filter far to noisy.

Sounds cool for the first few miles with the wastegate chatter etc
but just becomes annoying on part throttle overtakes etc.

I have always wandered if there is a test/comparison somewhere using the std airbox and a cone on the same car one after the other to see if there are any differences???
I do think the piperX sounds ace though.
