I've been reading threads from the past few years about this.

I know it's possible, but with work.

Some posts say you can mix and match a silvertop and blacktop tensioner kit, others say you need to weld up a core-plug on the blacktop head and drill/tap it and use the silvertop tensioners.

Is there a definitive answer please, ideally with some photos?

The reason I want to go down this route is that my silvertop stem seals are goosed and a friend has given me a known-good working blacktop head c/w aftermarket cams for nothing so it's the best route to take for me.

The engine is in a kit-car so I have no other issues with ancilliary equipment and mountings etc.
