Garage cost to remove turbo?
How much roughly would a garage charge to remove a oil and water cooled GT2554R turbo from a 1.8 focus? It's standard exhaust manifold with 3 studs securing to turbo itself like below-
Can be seen here too-
Just because turbo needs work done as it has oil leaking and blue smoke. Boosts fine and no play at compressor wheel so "should" be just seals and actuator sorting, plus storage while turbo is away and then refitting.

Had a quote of 2 hours at £42/hour for removal of turbo and then 2 for replacement with free storage so £168 Inc vat. That about right? I was thinking £300 tbh so seems ok to me.

Are you shitting me? £300 for that. I would drive up from Essex and do it for that.
even at a garage I would only want to pay tops £150.
BTW, how does the bottom water pipe clear your down pipe?
what water pump are you running?
Thanks Luke
