Default 2.2 TDCI turbo actuator

As above its sticking , i have removed the circlip & tryed to free it , it moves now but is not as smooth as it should be . Is there any way i can clean the variable veins without removing the turbo ? I put EGR cleaner into the turbo from the inlet side a month ago & it worked for a while , but really need to get some into the exhaust side.

Thinking about drilling a hole into the exhaust side of the turbo , then tapping it so i can put a small bolt in it to reseal it . Then i will be able to put some cleaner in through the hole . Will this work ?

Took it for a good run , MPG is going up & it only cost me £3 & half an hour of my time . Borrowed a right angled chuck & tap & die set.
