Default Mondeo 55 tdci 130, won't start

Hi, new to forums, had a problem with my mondeo, last week it start by taking twice as long to start than usual, first thought battery on the way out, charged and still took ages to start, but at least it did!, next while on a 30 mile journey, the car suddenly went into limp mode, turned it off and had the glow plug light illuminated, removed key/reset and it restarted ok, next day would not start again, changed the fuel filter ran it a bit all seems to be getting better. Day later would not start again, cracked the top of the injectors to ensure fuel getting through, finally it started and ran for over 100 miles all ok, now will not start again, any advice would be much appreiciated, or has anybody encountered this issue, or am i doing something wrong, thanks

Injectors. Having the same trouble with mine. Did a leak off test and it's not maintaining fuel rail pressure. It's leaking way too much fuel, which Knocks it into limp mode then cuts out. Now taking way longer to fire up than it used to, Pressies for the kids or 4 injectors???

It may not be injectors - Have the fault codes read. It could be something as simple as a Crank Sensor. But if the codes do point to the injectors - it's time to get shot, as it won't be cheap.

I can't afford all in one go. Ł150 each is the current rate. So Ł600 and that's if you can do it yourself. As I can so guess I'm lucky. I am doing one at a time. I did the first one. It cured it for 2 months. But it's started again so I can just about scrape enough together for two more this week. But as previous guy says. Get it fault code checked. I get "P1211 injector control pressure higher/lower than desired(engine running)
P0251 INJECTION PUMP FUEL METERING CONTROL A. " pretty generic I'm told. But I am certain that's your trouble. Mines only done 96k. Keep getting told it's supermarket diesel and you must only use a genuine ford or Bosch fuel filter. Filter down to 2 microns. Non gen lets a bus through. Good luck pal. Oh get a leak off test done too. That'll tell you for sure.

Finally got the codes read, 1 for fault on injector 4, also on close listening we could hear a sort or pinging sound from that injector, tested with engine running, undid the supply to the injector and the noise went and the running sounded better, is it ok to replace injector 4 with this issue?,

I can't really answer that. Mine failed to start at all this week. No fuel pressure at crank over! Got No3 injector reconned. As No4 has already been done. 3&4 were the worst. It started immediately. But now missing and running shite. Dunno why. I put new code in. Bloody tdci's.
