Hello sorry for the long post but looking for help.

Have a 54plate tdci mondeo and actually loved it until 3weeks ago.
Under load the glow plug light would come on, could pull over restart and all was fine... Or so I thought, one day glow plug light came on and then car cut out.

Had the infamous injector noise and slight white smoke on start up one day so initially I ought injector fault. Also read online to change fuel filter as probable cause so I replaced this myself but no difference cleaned out egr still no difference. So time for diagnostics.

Put car into local garage which is a ford garage. P1211 and p251 came up. He tried to recode the injectors and said that car would not run and kept cutting out. He said he wasn't convinced it was injectors so carried out leak off test. Injector number 4 failed massively so I got injectors out and sent off to be checked by local diesel specialist. He said 2 were fine and 2 needed reconditioned so got them reconditioned.

Handed injectors into garage and thought that this would fix the problem and I would have my car back. Got call today saying that it hasn't solved the problem still coming up with the 2 error codes. He said next step would be to replace the tdci pump which at £670 plus labour is a bit steep. I asked if this would definitely 100% fix the problem he said he wouldnt bet on it.

What I'm confused at is I've not had any tell tale signs that pump was on way out I.e. no rough idling failing to start ect.

Can anyone give me any ideas as I really am at my wits end and starting to run out of cash.
