Default Mondeo mk3 heater control problem

hey all,

I have a mk3 mondeo tdci facelift (53plate) and I have a problem with my heaters, they heat up fine but i cant stop them from blowing on the windscreen, cant get them to blow at me or my feet, any ideas what the problem could be? the buttons on the heater control unit lights up when pressed as they should but the hot air wont change direction, ive done a quick search but cant seem to find the problem is

thanks for any help

Could be to do with the heater resistor can cause a problem dont know if this is one of them but its were the water goes in around the pollen filter down to the motor shorting out the resistor replace may cure

Clearly the motor is working fine, rather the problem is being unable to change the direction of the output, if it's cable operated maybe the cable has broken thus stuck in the one and only current position?

These have motors to control the flaps, sounds like the panel has failed.

yes, they are fun to remove as well! Have to take half the dash out to get the panel off!
