I was think more to do with swapping hubs or re-drill of the hubs. Wanted to know if it has been done before?

It has been done with redrilling. As far as im aware thats the only way. Weld the old holes up and re drill.

Not sure if 5 x 108 is also a Ford PCD, but if it is it may be possible to use C max 5 stud hubs, which are based on Focus's?

I've done a few of these on my cars did the connect hubs on my focus few years ago, I've also converted an old rs turbo of mine to volvo hubs (look in my album) as I really liked the T5 wheels car looked great white S2 RST on Volvo T5 alloys

Wes has it. The Connect is a focus (more or less!) I even used a heap of sensors off the engine of a Connect for my Focus.
