Default ST225 performance exhaust choice

Hi i own a 57plate 225 ST thats currently standard. I have decided it is now time to unleash a few extra horses so before I chip it I want a performance exhaust. I have have been looking at the dreamscience exhaust or the cobra exhaust (non res) as they are both 3" bore and in the £400 price range. Is there any pros or cons on either system?
Cheers

Get on eBay mate. Much cheaper and genuine kit. I got a scorpion system for a couple of hundred less

Hello mate I went for the dreamscience exhaust in the end. I will be fitting it tomorrow hope I made the right choice. P.S Is there a reason why some people fit mk2 rs plugs to there st's? I'm getting mine tuned soon and have just had new plugs fitted in a recent service I do not want to shell out £50 for a new set if I don't need to. Steve

It's a quality bit of kit just on the pricy side for some.

With regards to the plugs I put RS plugs in mine, for some reason once mapped it miss fired on full boost. Maybe spark blow out?
Either way RS plugs sorted it, are of better quality and cheaper than ST plugs.
Keep this thread up to date as you go along pal.
Be good to see.

dreamscience exhaust is supposed to be very loud. I've got a 3" turbo back milltek resonated system on mine with sports cat. Makes a nice note on tickover, is very slightly louder than standard on a normal drive but sounds brutal when you floor it! Suits me just fine

Exhaust was fitted yesterday and so far im happy with it, Price wise i paid £345 for it in dreamsciences jan sales, not to bad i think being that its a 3" system with middle silencer. My car is a 57 plate ST3 standard apart from the exhaust, future plans are airtec intercooler, K&N panal filter, and either Dreamscience remap or blue fin. I cant go to mad on it yet as still got 8mts warranty on it.

Im wanting to lower it too at some stage but im after a drop of more then 25mm that eibach offer but not wanting to fit coilovers as this is my daily driver. Any idea if anyone makes 40mm lowering springs? cheers

Ive got the dreamsceince exhaust on mine it is slightly louder than the miltek one but it makes a nice sound, Ive just fitted the mongoose 3" downpipe and 200 cell sport cat along with the stage 3 bluefin map which is now free if you buy a bluefin and it is much louder but the extra pops and bangs you get make up for that

BCSAutomotive do a downpipe and 100 cell sports cat the best quality/design (thicker flanges, larger flexi, 5" cat instead of 4") i have seen. Makes a big improvement in response and doesn't bring the engine light on, as the cat is larger than all the others on the market.
Friend at work with Mountune260 and Mountune/Miltek cat back (70mm not 76mm/3" !!!) had them put on his and made a big improvement.
Got them on mine, soon be getting there cat back system also .
