ST170 suspension not lowered
Hi,
the suspension on my 03 ST170 is a bit tired. I'm looking to replace the springs all round, ideally with uprated ones but I don't want to go any lower than standard if possible. 10mm maybe ok but really lower than that and the car will just bottom out with the roads we have up here.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I had eibachs on my st170 a few years ago. Not a huge amount lower but firmed up the ride quite a bit, something to think about if you do drive on bad roads.
What with the age of st170s now, I would look into replacing the shocks at the same time, as I should imagine any original kit would be fairly tired.

Thanks for the reply, I take it Eibachs will work alright with the standard shocks?

On modern cars it is all about cost of manufacture. Springs are dirt cheap but shox are expensive so manufacturers save money with cheap and poor shox and over stiffen. A good set of shox will transform a car and it may be that your springs are fine and it is the shox that are crap, after all, will a spring have worn out?
