My mate from work has a ST170. The engine light has come on it and he said he did 100 mile to half a tank the other night. Does anyone have any ideas. We plugged the ford diagnostic tester in to check to see if the lambdas are working and they seem to be fine.
There was also another fault code which was for the inlet manifold. We the engine is reved you can see that the cable from the control unit is pulling the flap open in the inlet manifold.
Has anyone got any ideas.

That's the IMRC P1518. There was a recent thread on it with a description of the problem.

Well last week my mates ST.s engine light came back on again. It was a lambda sensor fault. He replaced both sensors. The car was mint for a week and the light is back on. The inlet flap is sticking open. It looks like the imrc is at fault. We will take it apart and see if we can see anything inside.
