As above driving last night put my foot down boost went all the way to 1.2 bar and my car is standard ive put my snap on scanner on it and it comes up with P0234 over boost fault code but no engine management light on?? anyone come across this before and any ideas what it could be? thank you.

 

It will most likely be the boost control solenoid that's playing up, very common fault on these.
