Default Low oil pressure...

Hi guys! I'm wondering if anyone can help me out? Recently I've noticed that my oil pressure is sitting really low, it sits just above the red when that cars at normal temp and snd a stand still, anyone else had this problem or know why my cars doing this?

Cheers!

Sounds pretty normal to me after it's warmed up fully. Mine sits about 2mm off the red and on a warm day after a good drive is perfectly normal on idle.

Okay cheers! how low does the needle sit before the cars started up? Mines sits a few 2-3mm below 5 bar is that ok? I 've had the car over a year now and just noticed it but I'm not sure wether it's normal or I'm being paranoid, I recently had a new engine put in after the old one packed in.

Cheers

Yep, that sounds perfectly normal too. You may find on a colder day, oil pressure at idle isn't as high as on a milder day which may sound odd but the ST has a pressure relief valve when it is very cold to regulate the oil pressure.

What happened to the old engine to cause it to pack up?
